Summary
In this chapter, we understood how Zabbix proxy can be a powerful ally of the Zabbix server to improve environmental performance.
We also talked about SQLite3 being the most suitable database to use with Zabbix proxy, and saw that this choice allows us to use an area in the memory to keep this database, which is quite simple and does not require many configurations.
Another important point is the possibility of using Zabbix proxy embedded in single-board hardware. This makes deployment of this resource in a distributed environment much cheaper.
It is good practice to start the environment by considering a Zabbix proxy, even if it is on the same network where we have the Zabbix server.
Zabbix proxy lives up to its nickname: the great little helper.
In the next chapter, we will address a very important issue, which is sometimes overlooked by Zabbix administrators—the health of Zabbix. Zabbix SIA provides several item keys so that we can take care of Zabbix and monitor it just as we intend...
