Time for action—creating Chicago style house music
First, let's create a bassline in the Beat+Bassline Editor. We'll need a new editor with an extended length. Let's do it!
- Create a new pattern in the Beat+Bassline Editor by clicking on the add beat and bassline button. The button looks like the following:
- Now that we have a new pattern, the pattern will be called Beat/Bassline 1, as shown in the following image:
This also adds a Beat+Bassline track to our Song editor. We can toggle back to our previous pattern by clicking on the drop-down menu triangle to the left of the add beat+bassline button. What's really cool is that all of our settings for the instruments are still there!
- Go to your sidebar, click the "star" icon to open the My Presets pane and look for a new bass sound. We're going to use the LB302, so locate its folder, and drag the Oh Synth preset to your Beats+Bassline Editor.
