Creating a chatbot using DialogFlow

Google has a long history of extensive research in machine learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP). And much of this research is reflected in their DialogFlow tool. DialogFlow integrates with Google Cloud Speech-to-Text API and other third-party services such as Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and Facebook Messenger.

It is possible to create chatbots that offer quite a bit of functionality without writing a line of code. Initially, we will review how the chatbot can be configured without code and by merely using the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) console. In the following sections of this chapter, we will demonstrate how the chatbot can be integrated with other services. The later sections in this chapter will require a basic understanding of the Python language.
