Creating and publishing a profile
Now that our organization and smart groups have been created, we can create our profiles that will allow you to manage your devices and provide the desired settings and configurations to the users.
When you configure your profiles for your devices, you will configure what is known as payloads within profiles. Payloads are the specific settings within each profile that you configure, for example, the passcode, e-mail profile, or Wi-Fi settings.
Tip
It is recommended to only configure a single payload per profile. This will allow you to make changes to that specific payload and publish it without having to re-push the profile for all payloads within that profile that may not need to be updated, for example, if you configured a passcode, Wi-Fi, and e-mail payload within one profile and only needed to change the passcode.
