Creating a modular solution with Power Automate

Power Automate is a powerful tool for automating repetitive tasks and addressing business needs with its wide range of features. For example, you may have created an efficient solution using a cloud flow that manages multiple tasks with a single click.

As a use case, a marketing department uses an instant cloud flow to take care of multiple activities using an email address as input. It can:

  • Send a pre-built email to that email address
  • Save a logging record to a table in Dataverse
  • Send a notification to the marketing team in Microsoft Teams, informing them that an email activity has been completed

What would happen if another department in your company needs the same activities that have already been created in your solution? One option would be to recreate the same actions in a new flow, but what about maintenance? If, later on, you need to change something, you would need to make the change twice...
