Creating a Procedural Plant Generator
Congratulations! You’ve now mastered the basics of Geometry Nodes in Blender! Now, it’s time to get started on the more advanced projects. One of these advanced projects includes making a procedural plant generator. Let’s get into it!
We will start this chapter off by adding a Curve Line node, to which we will add some noise using a Set Position node. After that, we will create a stem using a Curve to Mesh node and a Spline Parameter node to define the thickness. We will also be creating the leaves on our plant using instancing. We will rotate these leaves in a way that looks realistic. To finish off this node tree, we will be making a pot using the Mesh Boolean node and joining it with our leaves and stem.
To end the chapter, we will also teach you how to add Group Inputs to your node tree. This will be done to give end users easy access to the key variables of your node tree, such as height, leaf count, and resolution...
