Summary

Group policies are one of the core values of the AD environment. As long as they are designed and maintained properly, they can be used to manage computer and user settings effectively. In this chapter, we learned about Group Policy components and their capabilities. This was followed by explaining features that can be used to design and maintain a healthy Group Policy structure. Last but not least, we learned about Group Policy designing best practices.

In the next chapter, we are moving on to the third part of this book, which will focus on AD server roles. In this part, you will learn about AD DS's advanced features, including schema, replication, read-only domain controller (RODC), and AD recovery.
