Working with graphic elements

Photoshop Elements is not Adobe Illustrator, by any stretch of the imagination, but it does contain a reasonably good range of graphic elements that can be added to images to enhance their design. The following illustration shows some of these:

Working with graphic elements

These graphics fall into the following groups:

  • Graphics that can be added to existing semi-automated creative projects, such as the Photo Book and Greeting Card, found under the Create menu. These include a vast array of downloadable content, ranging from backgrounds and picture frames, to clip art objects and preset text styles.
  • There are those that are designed to add benefit to single images—graphics such as text boxes, copyright logos, arrows, lines, speech bubbles, shapes, and more.
