Chapter 5: Exploring Objects and Classes

In this chapter, we are going to see one of the main functionalities that Pimcore offers to us: the possibility of defining a personal and completely custom dataset for each project by creating classes and objects.

The big advantage of using Pimcore is that you can do everything through the user interface, without the need of writing a single line of code or to define complex database structures, changing or adding new attributes whenever you want. Pimcore will do all the magic, and you can update your dataset with no worries of running risky migrations on the database. Besides, you can export and import all class definitions to share them between different projects without the need for reinventing the wheel every time.
