Microsoft Syntex is a bundle of services for intelligent document processing, content understanding, and compliance for SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange. The Microsoft Syntex product family also includes premium taxonomy services and advanced management capabilities for SharePoint. Syntex is an add-on and it’s licensed separately based on used capabilities.
Intelligent document processing can automatically generate documents such as contracts, extract information, tag images, and optical character recognition (OCR) in printed and handwritten documents.
Taxonomy services contain term set imports using SKOS-format, which is a W3C recommendation for representing taxonomies and publishing content types to a hub site and all child sites including new lists and libraries.
SharePoint Advanced Management includes features such as restricted access controls, conditional access policies, and content life cycle management.
