It is a great time to be an indie game developer. There are an abundance of monetization options and game marketplaces. We can easily connect our projects with people looking to play our genre and style. To stand out, you will need to spend time and energy on marketing your project while considering alternate routes such as crowdfunding.

There are more freemium games than ever before; it is now very possible to make money strictly from ad revenue or in-app purchases. Additionally, options exist to enlarge your market by making your app available in other regions. You can set yourself up for success by considering the market and aligning your game's style to the paying demand that exists. It is also important to manage your projects wisely so you can complete and publish your games. Each of these topics is very deep, but we will spend time exploring the basics to give you an idea of how to spend your marketing time.
