Exploring Windows 365 Boot
Windows 365 Boot enables a user to log directly into their Cloud PC and designate it as the primary Windows experience on the device. This is a great solution for shared devices where different users can log in directly to their own personal, secure Windows 365 Cloud PC with their credentials.
In Chapter 3, Deploying Cloud PCs, we explained how you can enroll the Windows 365 Boot feature to your managed Windows 11 endpoints. In this section, we showcase the end user experience from the moment the user is on the login screen after turning on their physical PC. Then we will look at how they access their Cloud PC. The examples we have here are based on Shared PC mode. Dedicated mode delivers a similar experience but with a personal login experience. Let’s get started.
Once the user turns on their physical PC that’s set up for Windows 365 Boot, they will be presented with a lock screen like the one shown in the following screenshot.
