Chapter 6: Creating Dashboards
In the previous chapters, you learned how to acquire and sculpt your data. Now, let's turn our attention toward creating cards and dashboards with the data. Analyzer is a tool that is used to create individual cards that are contained in dashboard pages. For navigation purposes, the dashboard pages are arranged into a logical tree structure of up to three layers deep, organizing how the content is presented. A Card is simply a chart contained inside of a tile on a dashboard page. Analyzer is commonly referred to as a Card Builder, but it is also a powerful ad hoc Data Exploration Tool. Additionally, many card types support interactive filtering while being viewed from the dashboard.
In this chapter, we will focus on the card-building functionality of Analyzer along with its interactive card filter features. Analyzer controls the settings of specific visual characteristics related to the charts, such as the chart type, filters, sorting, the summary...
