Summary

In this chapter, we learned how we can start extending Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications. We started by understanding how the data model is composed and how we can extend it, and then identified the main components that are part of an application and how we can work with them: forms, business rules, views, dashboards, the sitemap, and command bars.

In the next chapter, we will go into detail about how we can build custom applications based on the applications and processes offered by Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement. We will identify the different types of applications and how we can leverage each of these for the benefit of the users.
