Problem statement / use case
Our router has stopped working as a Wi-Fi access point for some unknown reasons. Its LAN connections are working fine. Should we go to the market and buy a new router, or do I have some other options available to fix this piece at home or replace it with some other solution? I have the following hardware available:
BeagleBone Black
ZyXEL Wi-Fi dongle
I have been using this dongle with my old laptop, which is spare. So, can we make use of the same dongle? Can we use Yocto Project and enable our BeagleBone Black to be used along with this Wi-Fi dongle and get something working, which can solve our problem?
