LMMS and Audacity are a great complement to each other. Audacity can give you the power to record, edit, and process your audio samples, and LMMS lets you arrange them. LMMS is a great tool for putting together samples in interesting ways using the Beat+Bassline Editor and the Song Editor. When sampling, remember that there is a huge community out there that wants to share their sounds. Share and share alike! One great example of a music-sharing community is the LMMS Sharing Platform (http://lmms.sourceforge.net/lsp/), a central place for LMMS users to share and exchange their works made with and for LMMS, including whole songs, and also new presets and samples.
