4. Misusing AIs
The vast majority of people want AI to be a positive thing that improves the quality of life through better health, prosperity, positive climate change, greater equality, and more. However, even the quickest glance at history reveals a dark side of humanity that we cannot ignore. As such, we have to expect that a minority of people will misuse AIs to further their own interests and harm other people.
In this chapter, we’ll look at a few of the ways people are already misusing AIs and some ways they may do so in the future.
