Configuring Windows 365 Boot

Windows 365 Boot is one of the newest Windows integrations released as part of Windows 365 and Windows 11. The feature allows users to boot directly to Cloud PCs from the initial Windows login screen, meaning that the friction of logging on to local Windows first, opening the Windows 365 app, and clicking Connect completely vanishes!

There are two variations of Windows 365 Boot: Shared PC Scenario and Dedicated PC Scenario.

Shared PC Scenario is built for multiple users to use the same PC at different times. This is ideal for shift workers; when one user logs off their Cloud PC from an enabled Windows 365 Boot device, another user can log in to that Cloud PC.

Dedicated PC Scenario is where a specific user is assigned to the PC that is enrolled with these settings. This gives the end user an enhanced experience with the ability to use Windows Hello for business to sign in.
