In the previous chapter, we implemented Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platforms based on open source, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Azure.
In this chapter, we will discover the most important use cases for IIoT analytics. We will see the main classes of analytics and their applications. We will study, step by step, what the main steps to take to develop analytics are. We will understand the OSA architecture. Finally, we will put into practice what we have learned by developing three different types of analytics in Python. In particular, we will explore the following topics:
