Other kinds of IIoT data
In IIoT, we frequently speak about time series and sensor data. In some circumstances, however, we can also work with unstructured data. This might include images, such as pictures of geological layers, inspection images, and high-frequency data, or log files, such as equipment shutdown files, security report files, and maintenance events. This data should be considered in the data flow. In fact, as we have already discussed in the first paragraph of this chapter, digital twin models will include all multimodal data; for example, some researchers propose leveraging LLM models to integrate textual data and time series in order to analyze, in a single solution, anomaly or maintenance data.
