Lab 7 – Double-Segment FRR

As networks grow, the topologies become increasingly complex, making it challenging to provide a TI-LFA backup path using the methods explored so far in the book. This chapter covers a scenario where the backup path requires two additional segments to be encoded as labels in the backup path label stack, offering a loop-free alternate path. This increases the size of the label stack on the backup path to three, which is also the maximum number of labels supported by the Cisco IOS XR platform.
