Embedding Power BI visuals in a model-driven app
In the previous section, we showed how you can embed Power BI visuals within a canvas app. However, Power BI can also be embedded in a model-driven app. We will cover the steps in this section.
Before we begin, this section will presume that you already have a model-driven app created. If you do not, please refer to Chapter 4, Choosing the Right Tool – Navigating Canvas Apps, Power Pages, and Model-Driven Apps. In addition, users must have appropriate access to Power BI. This includes having access to the appropriate report and workspace, as well as having an appropriate Power BI license.
Important note
When embedding Power BI visuals into a model-driven app, you are required to use a solution. We covered using solutions in Chapter 2, Working with Solutions.
