In this chapter, we covered the IP routing process in detail and gave quite a few examples and tested you. I can't say this enough: you must understand how packets get from their start point source to their destination. Remember, there are a lot of variables, cables, routing protocols, algorithms, and much more, which we will discuss further in the following chapters. But if you understood how to create static routes, default routes, how to configure RIPv2, and how to verify that all this is working, you have a solid foundation to work from.
