Finding the right backup solution can be a complicated task if it is not handled from the very beginning of the private cloud design phase. Typically, backup and recovery options can be seen from different levels that vary from storage, filesystem, to application level. Most of the open source solutions in the community might help to achieve this goal, but that would require a junction of tool sets and a proper automation stack.
