Summary
The purpose of this chapter was to provide guidance to SAS data warehouse leaders on how to focus on the needs of their customers, which are categorized as users who are either analysts or developers. That is because improving user experience will encourage the onboarding of more users and the conduct of more analyses. The more people and analyses using a SAS data warehouse, the closer it strives to fulfill the business objective that led to setting up a SAS data warehouse in the first place.
This chapter first focused on serving the needs of analyst users through providing data access and providing particularly useful analytic variables such as foreign keys and crosswalk variables. Next, the chapter described how to serve the needs of warehouse developers through managing a data stewardship committee, and providing data curation and other support.
