Object Storage – What’s New and Enhancements

Object storage is one of the many options for backup storage and repositories, and with Veeam Backup & Replication (VBR) v12, this is further enhanced. This chapter will look at new options for sending directly to object storage and using object storage in the scale-out backup repository (SOBR) performance tier. We will discuss how with grandfather-father-son (GFS) backup jobs, you can send to object storage with the immutability turned on now. Finally, we will look at enhancements to third-party integrations within the console for Microsoft Azure and Wasabi object storage.
