Data integration scenarios
As we learned with the weather example in the previous section, there are times when we need to broaden our perspective from just the core B2C solution. The B2C Solution Architect role and the certification process expect the solution architect to be the liaison between the platform technical architects who specialize in individual components and the enterprise architect. For data and integration scenarios, be especially aware of the integration capabilities and best practices for the component products.
Within this book, we covered integration primarily in Chapter 8, Integration Architecture Options, and we covered data modeling in Chapter 9, Creating a 360° View of the Customer. I’d suggest reviewing both chapters for refreshers on this area, but you also need to remember the integration options and design constraints of each component product, which are covered in the first part of the book.
