To get the most out of this book

1. Make sure you understand the fundamentals of React. The tutorial is a good starting point: https://reactjs.org/tutorial/tutorial.html.
2. Clone the repository for this book: https://github.com/PacktPublishing/Material-UI-Cookbook.
3. Install the package by changing into the Material-UI-Cookbook directory and running npm install.
4. Start Storybook by running npm run storybook. You can now navigate through each of the examples as you read through the book. Some examples have property editor controls in the Storybook UI, but feel free to tweak the code as you learn!

Conventions used

There are a number of text conventions used throughout this book.

CodeInText: Indicates code words in text, database table names, folder names, filenames, file extensions, pathnames, dummy URLs, user input, and Twitter handles. Here is an example: "Mount the downloaded WebStorm-10*.dmg disk image file as another disk in your system."

A block of code is set as follows:

Bold: Indicates a new term, an important word, or words that you see on screen. For example, words in menus or dialog boxes appear in the text like this. Here is an example: "Select System info from the Administration panel."
