Best practices
The difficulty of this section is in selecting the most useful best practices to highlight. To select the best practices for this chapter, criteria were created, and each best practice was scored against these criteria.
Selecting the best practices
The criteria were as follows:
- Level of impact: How significantly the best practice could influence the success or failure of the initiative. Best practices scoring highly were essential, with the initiative risking failure if they were not implemented.
- Tangibility: How easily the best practice can be translated immediately into action. Best practices scoring highly could be introduced without delay or preparation.
- Duplication: This factor was about assessing which best practices had already been covered in previous chapters. Best practices scoring highly would have only been mentioned in passing in previous chapters, or not yet mentioned at all.
