Summary

In this chapter, we've provided an introduction to the Hyperledger project. Firstly, the core ideas behind the Hyperledger project were discussed and a brief introduction to all projects under incubation in Hyperledger was provided. Three main Hyperledger projects were discussed in detail, namely Hyperledger fabric, Sawtooth lake and Corda. All these projects are currently under heavy development and changes are expected in the next releases. Because of this, no in-depth practical exercises were given. However, the core concepts of all the projects mentioned above are expected to remain unchanged or changed only very slightly. Readers are encouraged to visit the relevant links provided within the chapter in order see the latest updates. It is obvious that a lot is going on in this space and projects like Hyperledger from the Linux foundation are playing a key role in the advancement of blockchain technology.
