Service requests can be created at any time and in a variety of ways. The following list identifies many of the inputs and outputs for request management but they are not inclusive:

- Entitlement information
- Request catalog
- Approvals
The request outputs are as follows:
- Fulfilled requests
- New or updated CIs, services, and information
- Survey issued
- Updated request records
- Management information
