Configuring Shared Channels for External Access
Shared channels are the newest type of channel, which uses Teams Connect to enable the sharing of a channel with other users and groups that may or may not be part of the parent team, or even part of your organization. This makes cross-organization collaboration much simpler, as invited members from other organizations will not have to sign in and out to get to your shared resources – they will simply stay logged in and access your shared channel as if it existed in their own organization.
Additionally, you can use shared channels with other teams in your organization – they do not necessarily have to be used for external collaboration. The process works the same, where you can invite someone from the other team to accept the invite on behalf of the team.
