Selecting a host and operating system for single-host deployment

Deploying your application on a single host is the simplest possible way to run an application in production. In many ways, it resembles the user experience of performing local development using Docker and Docker Compose. If you can package the parts of your application using a docker-compose.yml file, you are already 70 percent of the way there.
