Scenarios for Dual-write
Dual-write is an out-of-the-box integration between Dynamics 365 F&O and the Dynamics 365 customer engagement apps. It is a synchronous and real-time integration that will duplicate data from the ERP to the CRM, from the CRM to the ERP, or in both directions.
It’s a tightly coupled solution. This means that there is a close and interdependent relationship between the data in the Finance and Operations apps and the Dataverse apps. For example, if you configure the bidirectional flow between apps, when you make any change in one of the apps, it will be reflected automatically on the other side.
Some of the most important features of the Dual-write infrastructure are as follows:
