2. True. Docker for Windows creates a Linux VM in Hyper-V, on which it then runs Linux containers.
3. Container are optimally used in CI/CD, which is all about automation. Each step, from building a container image, shipping the image, and finally running containers from this image, is ideally scripted for maximum productivity. With it, one achieves a repeatable and auditable process.
