Cross-region business continuity and disaster recovery

Disaster recovery is a crucial aspect of any IT desktop strategy. For remote desktops, most organizations prioritize disaster recovery as a primary objective. Since its inception, Windows 365 has offered robust business continuity and disaster recovery solutions. Whether for compliance requirements, natural disasters, technical failures, or human errors, increasing the distance between your primary and backup environments can provide added security and peace of mind to any IT desktop strategy.

Microsoft recently introduced Windows 365 Cross-region Disaster Recovery, a new add-on feature for Windows 365 that creates “snapshots” of Cloud PCs. These snapshots are stored in customer-defined, geographically distant locations and can be recovered to Cloud PCs operating in the selected location during a disaster recovery event.
