Creating biology study designs
To create a study design within any biological or other life science, we start with specific biological knowledge. That knowledge can be expanded, hypothesized, and tested and may lead to the acquisition of new knowledge within the studies. Sometimes this knowledge may be directly related to the data or we may have limited level of knowledge around the data and may want to expand it further.
Once we have enough Biological knowledge, we can identify and formulate research problems and later turn this information into the study design.
To create the study design, clear endpoints of the study must be defined. The endpoints are used to define exactly what are we estimating and how will these estimates be used to interpret the success and interpretation of the study. Biological knowledge may be used to create a variety of hypotheses and this type of the study is hypothesis based, but the studies may also be without a specific hypothesis and this type...
