Resolving driver issues


Generally, as you may know, Device Manager enables you to manage both the internal and external devices of your computer. Whenever there are problems associated with device drivers, there are several options available in Device Manager to resolve those issues. So, if you right-click any of the device drivers of the listed devices and select Properties (see Figure 3.3) from the context menu, from within Driver tab, you will have access to the following options: 

  • Update Driver: It enables you to update the driver by searching automatically for updated driver software or browsing your computer for driver software.
  • Roll Back Driver: It enables you to roll back to the previously installed driver if the updated driver is not performing properly.
  • Disable Device: It enables you to disable the device driver by putting the device into a lower-power state if the current driver is causing major issues.
  • Uninstall Device: It enables you to uninstall the current driver if is not performing...
