Technical requirements

There might be a license requirement depending on the services you need to connect to Power Automate. Please refer to the Preface section of this book for more information.

At the time of writing, Power Automate does not use the new designer when creating a flow from a solution. The workaround is to create it, save it, and then open it again.

If you see the classic designer, add a New step, search for Compose, and enter any text as the Inputs. We are doing this workaround to be able to save the cloud flow, close it, and then open it again to get the new flow designer. You can delete the Compose action afterward.

This chapter will follow the new designer’s steps to provide the most up-to-date instructions.
