Summary
In this chapter, we have explored Amazon VPC and the pivotal role it plays in EC2 networking in great depth. We learned about VPC creation, subnets, CIDR blocks, and route tables. Following that, we explored security groups, network ACLs, and the principles of secure network design. Our journey also included Elastic IPs, network interfaces, VPC peering, and connectivity options such as Direct Connect and VPN.
As we transition to the next chapter, we shift our focus to security best practices for EC2 to create and operate a secure and efficient AWS environment.
