Grouping and ungrouping slides

Another very useful operation is the ability to group and ungroup the slides of your project. This allows you to create sequences of slides and to reduce the clutter in the Filmstrip. Use the following steps to group and ungroup slides: 

1. Return to slide 1 of the Chapter04/takeTheTrain.cptx project.
2. Hold the Shift key of your keyboard down as you click slide 3 of the Filmstrip. This operation selects the first three slides of the project.
3. Right-click any of the selected slides.
4. Choose Group | Create in the contextual menu.

This operation groups the selected slides in one sequence. On the Filmstrip, the first three slides of the project appear as a single entity called Untitled Group. This is shown in the following screenshot:
