In the previous recipe, we saw how we can use directory_iterator and recursive_directory_iterator to enumerate the content of a directory. Displaying the content of a directory as we did in the previous recipe is only one of the scenarios where this is needed. The other major scenario is searching for particular entries in a directory, such as files with a particular name, extension, and so on.
