Working with Liquid parameters in labels
Labels enhance the user experience of Explores by providing the option to customize the display of field names in the field picker and data table. We already explored label parameters earlier in this book. Now let’s discuss how we can use Liquid variables in label parameters.
As a reminder, Looker uses Liquid, a templating language, to enhance content flexibility and dynamism. Within labels, Liquid allows you to dynamically change the label value based on various factors.
Getting ready
In this section, we will work in multiple environments: LookML to create the label parameter(s) and Explore to build a Look with the dimension or measure that contains this parameter.
