What was your career in before making a switch to cybersecurity?
My first job out of university was as a network engineer setting up switches and routers for customers. The company I was working for back then was also selling Checkpoint firewalls, and I was soon drawn into the security world! So, in reality, I was fortunate enough to start in cybersecurity in 2000, long before it was called cybersecurity!
Why did you choose a career in cybersecurity?
Cybersecurity is fascinating; it is like being on the superheroes team fighting the villains! It is continuously changing and never, ever boring. It sits horizontally across IT and recently it is discussed at board level and by CxOs across the globe. If you are someone who likes to learn and develop, then the cybersecurity field is definitely one to consider.
