Learn Perpetual
Modality is an interesting concept when leveraging written language as we do not have the context or human expression available to assist in our understanding of what the writer is trying to convey. Modality could be in the category of possibility, deduction, expectation, permission, obligation, ability, or habit:
- Possibility defines something that theoretically is possible. Perpetual motion is theoretically impossible and, therefore, human nature is to dismiss that anything could obtain perpetuity. Possibility is also the hope of humanity and the catalyst for attempting to achieve the theoretical impossibility.
- Deduction causes unnecessary delay in action through excessively cautious analysis. Deduction can be leveraged to improve the probability of successful outcomes when placed in a secondary position to the accomplishment of the mission.
