Geospatial visualization background
As you are aware of from previous chapters, geospatial data is made up of not only the geometry of the feature but also often a wealth of attribute data that describes the point, line, or polygon that is represented by the record. When visualizing geospatial data, sometimes it is helpful to analyze the attribute data independently of the feature. A good dashboard or analysis of a dataset will generally include both location-based and attribute-based elements to provide a complete picture of what the data can reveal:
