The installation of a VM

In this section, we are going to work on securely isolating a part of our device’s operating system and setting it aside, solely for the purpose of running Kali Purple. This isolation will allow you to access the resources needed to properly run Kali Purple without adversely affecting the underlying operating system, which we will refer to as the host system from now on. This isolation is typically referred to as a virtual machine, and we have a plethora of options to set one up.

A VM helps to provide a controlled environment if we make a mistake at any point, ensuring we can quickly revert and start over without causing damage to the host. It also helps contain any potential cyber threats should they materialize and prevent any other unintended consequences. They are called virtual machines because the separate instances created by them are considered virtual, if not miniature, copies of the host system. What happens in the VM stays in the VM.
