Summary

In this chapter, we focused on the key tools and processes that are required to build the user interface design.

We dived deeper into Sketch as a design tool, explained its features, and discussed different integrations that can be done with Sketch using its plugins.

Then, we moved on to creating a Design System using Sketch and explained the simple process for creating the Design System.

We covered the entire process of UI design – choosing the colors and fonts, configuring the grids, designing the UI components, designing the entire user interface, and handing over the designs to developers using tools such as Zeplin or Invision.

In the next chapter, we will cover the coding area of the user experience design and discuss frontend development best practices. We will also look at different grid systems that we can use for CSS and for the css framework, such as Bootstrap – see you in the next chapter!
