Orphaned Analytics

One of the most significant impediments to realizing the economic value of one's data that was identified in the Economic Value of Data research was "orphaned analytics." Now to be honest, when this issue first surfaced in the research, I really didn't give it much thought. But, as I talked to more and more clients after the release of the research paper, I started to not only appreciate the challenge of orphaned analytics but more importantly, the game-changing economic potential of transitioning the organization from a single-use, one-off "orphaned analytics" model to a composable, reusable, continuously learning analytics model that appreciates in value the more that it is used.
