Changing marketplace

As important as reducing the cost of sales over time is, there are some other equally important reasons for listening to your customers. One of those reasons is that the marketplace changes all the time. Sometimes the changes are slow. Other times the changes are fast. But it is an immutable fact that over time changes will occur.

There are a thousand reasons for the ever changing marketplace. Some of the reasons are:

  • Competition. There are new competitors or reenergized competitors in the marketplace
  • Technology. There are new technological innovations every day
  • Economics. The economics affecting a marketplace are in a constant state of evolution
  • Advent of new products. New products are appearing all the time
  • Demographics of the marketplace. The marketplace – its people, its corporations – all age one day at a time
  • Governing laws. The laws that govern countries change over time

And there are probably plenty more...
